To tea or not to tea?

I had forgotten how much I love winter-like weather.
Cooking comfort food for everyone is so fun. Tonight it was stewed chicken with gravy over rice. It simmered all day and was perfect for tonight.
Last time I was at the store the produce man seduced me into buying a big bag of raw cranberries. They really aren’t bad raw, and tonight I put some in our salads with honey mustard dressing. It was so good, and very pretty! It went well with the main entree. I also made a big batch of rose petal tea. I sure miss quality loose leaf teas. Just can’t seem to find them anymore more. The rose petals were a bit too vintage for good tea.
I still remember the special tea place I used to take my children to when they were young. They had teas that would “cure ” anything and everything it seemed. The lady there would offer us samples for us all to try. We didn’t ask mind you. SHE was the one putting it out for us all. It was super high quality, and super expensive . We were so thrilled this lady kept serving us this tea after tea each time we visited! We didn’t want to seem ungrateful so we kept drinking them even when we didn’t want to. Finally, on day the lady snatched the tea away from us, and says angrily in her accent, “We are the medicine!! We are not the tea house!!”
And with that, she never offered us tea again. I did invest in a large amount of tea for the kids that Christmas. It was so special. The tea that could cure everything from AIDS to acne from ta lady who served us tea and then yelled at us for drinking it.
Good times!
